Interactive publication on tools and methods for exlploring interdependences is in development
During the Youth Friendly! Connecting global education and youth work International Workshop that took place in Edinburgh, the 25 participants coming from the project’ countries developed a framework for the future Recourse Book on Global Education. The publication is part of the project and it will be designed based on the outcomes of the surveys done in each of the project countries. At the workshop the representatives from youth organizations developed the main structure of the publication and its objectives:
- to provide practical tools and methodologies for exploring global interdependences for young people.
- to increase the capacity of multipliers to support young people explore their roles towards global issues.
- to bring a global perspective in young peoples local contexts
The Expert Writing Group that is dedicated to develop the book has met in Vienna to elaborate the seminar’s outcomes and go further with the publication. The publication itself will be an interactive tool for practitioners that would like to tackle Global issues. At this stage the publication has 6 products that will be looking at discovering local-global connections and critical thinking.
The 6 products that activities will be developed around them are: Water
Clothes, Tobacco, Meat, Chocolate and Mobile Phones. Some of the themes will be Human Rights, Sustainable Development in a broaden aspect, Health issues, Consumption, Diversity and Equality.
The publication is to be published next year,
